SQL Proxy Tool

Retrieve real-time data from external databases directly within the configurator.
What does it do:

The SQL Lookup (SQL Proxy) tool allows Cloud Infor CPQ to execute SQL SELECT statements against external databases and return the results for use within the configurator. Queries can be predefined or dynamically built based on configuration rules and user selections.

This enables the configurator to retrieve live data such as pricing, costs, or product information directly from systems like Visual ERP without duplicating the data inside CPQ.

With this report you can:

As a user configures a product, their selections determine which Bill of Material components are required. The configurator can use the SQL Lookup tool to retrieve the raw cost of each material directly from Visual ERP or another database.

These costs are then combined to calculate the total material cost of the configured product, allowing accurate pricing based on real-time data.
